Bring Spike into your terminal
The Spike Agent CLI handles coding work, files, tools, approvals and durable Agent sessions on macOS, Linux and Windows.
Use one Spike account
Your account is the secure control plane for identity, encrypted synchronization, Runtime discovery and relay. Sign into each client with the same account to see the same available Runtimes.
- Account sync connects your supported chats and preferences.
- Runtime provider URLs and API keys are not copied into your account.
- A free account is enough to use inference performed on your own Runtime.
Choose a model source
Spike Cloud
The simplest path. Spike hosts the model and authorizes it through your account plan or usage entitlement.
My connected Runtime
Your model runs on a Mac, PC or server that you control. Spike Runtime securely advertises its available models to your signed-in clients. See the Runtime setup guide.
Direct Server
An advanced local or offline path. One client connects directly to an OpenAI-compatible endpoint that it can reach, such as LM Studio on the same computer or LAN.
Rule of thumb: choose Direct Server for one nearby client. Choose Runtime when you want the same private model available through your Spike account on other devices.
